THE LID CAME OFF OF THE BASKET!!!! The girls jumped out to an early lead against Jefferson and cruised to an easy 44-10 victory last night. In the first quarter their defensive pressure was able to create turnovers and tonight the girls converted them into baskets. They led 18 - 2 after the first quarter. They continued to push the pace throughout the rest of the game. Lily and Megan led the team in scoring with 8 and 10 points respectively. Our inside game woke up last night with Matti and Nire getting some good looks inside and creating excellent post up opportunities....the guards will keep getting you the ball...I PROMISE. Kat and Katie exploded with some offense that we had yet to see this year...excellent job ladies. Kelly and Torri added their usual tough defense which created some fast break opportunities and points... Lizzy was put in a tough position last night and asked to play multiple positions...I think she had her best game of the season so far and is really starting to play well...keep it up!! All in all, the victory was good for the girls confidence and they saw some of their hard work start to pay off. Great job with the victory! 2-1 on the season.....
